Two New Tissue Machines
Client: | Cellynne (Sofidel) |
Location: | Florida, USA |
Project: | Two New Tissue Machines |
Scope: | Engineering and Procurement |
Value: | $60MM USD |
The project included a new building, foundations and machine track, basement, bale pulp unloading and storage, stock preparation, tissue machine, and all ancillary systems including vacuum, chemical additives, package boiler, white water systems, aircap drying system, and roll handling. Jedson also designed the approach system including the flume, silo, stock injection system, etc. Jedson coordinated the air permitting and installation of a new substation, as well as completing all of the power distribution. The second machine is similar in scope to the first, but additional space was added in the basement and between the two machines. The second machine had an incredibly fast start-up with the machine running up to capacity within days.
Results: Use of pre-engineered building resulted in a cost savings of approximately $1.2MM. Structural steel machine track saved approximately $400,000 and is copyrighted. Record start up time for Metso on their DCT 100 tissue machine.
